The best way to continue to improve your photography is to take the time to use your camera.  Often people feel that they need to go somewhere to practice the craft.  The reality is there are numerous opportunities right in your own backyard.  The following is some photos that I snapped right in my neighborhood.

This baby bird scared Melinda when it was hiding in our garage.  This photo was taken as it hopped out into the yard.
Flowers are always a good way to practice photography.  Macro photography is a fun medium that doesn't require travel to exotic locations.  This flower was one in my neighbors front yard.
While I was out one day taking some photos Nora decided to come say hi.  She is such a cute and lovable dog.
Here was a baby rabbit that hid in my backyard after Nora was out front.
This was a squirrel that Noah noticed was watching us from the neighbors' tree as we walked along the trails near our home.
A family members sporting event or outdoor activity is always a good opportunity to capture some photos.
Taking a portrait of someone at home is always a great way to also work on your Photoshop skills.  Here is a picture of Nathan I got by bribing him to sit for a quick photo session.
Local architecture and structures can always be a subject of photography.
